Veranda Learning acquired JK Shah Classes through its subsidiary Veranda XL Learning Solutions. JK Shah Classes is a pioneer for competitive exams related to commerce.
2023
Veranda has acquired seven businesses through its subsidiary, including Talent Academy and Publications, Phire, BAssure, Educare, Six Phrase, and SmartBridge.
2024
Veranda Learning has acquired stake in Tapasya Educational Institutions (TEIPL) through its subsidiary Veranda XL Learning Solutions.

About the Founder

Mr. Kalpathi S. Suresh is a dynamic entrepreneur who is the Executive Director and Chairman of Veranda Learning Solutions. His entrepreneurial spirit extends beyond his role, as he actively engages in angel investing and various business endeavours. Known for his inspirational leadership, Mr. Suresh adopts a supportive yet challenging management style that encourages teams to exceed their standard responsibilities in pursuit of success.

In 1991, Mr. Suresh embarked on his entrepreneurial journey by co-founding SSI, a global software education and IT training company, with his two brothers. Under his leadership, SSI evolved into a publicly listed company by the mid-1990s, forming a joint venture with NASDAQ and acquiring Albion Orion Company LLC. By 2004, SSI successfully acquired Aptech, merging its education arm with the latter.

Sought after as a speaker, Mr. Suresh shares his insights on entrepreneurship at esteemed institutions like IIT Madras, various societies, and large corporations. Mr. Suresh holds a bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Computer Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, complemented by a master’s degree from Clemson University, South Carolina. Beyond his professional achievements, he is a fitness enthusiast and accomplished marathoner, having completed the Berlin, Tokyo, Chicago, New York, London, and Boston marathons.
